I graduated in 2005 with my MBA and completed the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship as well. Angels were interested in investing in our business, which was an oil leak detection system for new pipeline installations.
I am now in Angola working in the oil industry. Everything I learned about developing business plans, I am now using, and I am constantly building upon that knowledge because of the foundation I received in the McGuire Program at Eller.
The most important thing is how much I got out of the speakers and faculty of the program — investors, entrepreneurs, alumni and local businessmen, etc. They put us in touch with reality and helped us link our goals and strategies to that reality.
I was also extremely impressed with the quality and motivation of the undergrads — it was a positive experience interacting with them every time, and I wish that there was more of that between grads and undergrads because we had a lot to offer each other.

The Entrepreneurship program was the most difficult and the most rewarding of all my coursework. We didn't cut corners because we knew doing so would only cheat ourselves.
Competing at Moot Corp was the hardest and at the same time the most fun of any academic-related event I participated in. I am grateful for the experiences and memories that I will never forget.
